The Chairman, Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Olusola Ajala, has ordered the reconstruction of the drainage on Agege motor road by Idi-Oro.
The action was prompted by a recent incident that claimed the life of one person.
The work has since commenced on the said place.
Hon Ajala said it was important to do the necessary thing on the portion of the road because of its condition and the danger it portends for the people.
"While the portion of the road belongs to the federal government, we must not wait for that tier of government before we take necessary action," Hon Ajala stated.
"We sincerely appreciate Hon Ajala for this timely intervention," a resident said.
"This shows he is truly the man of the people. We complained to him. He didn't ignore our complaints. He swung into action. He is a good leader," the residents added.
Another resident who spoke anonymously praised the chairman for the reconstruction of that portion.
"Whenever it rains, it is difficult to pass through this place. This intervention will be a great relief to us residents of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, especially those of us living in Idi-Oro," he said.
Speaking during the inspection of the work, the chairman appealed to the residents to endure with the state and federal governments. He noted that the LCDA is also on the priority list, stressing that some projects will begin soon.
"Residents of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA are not forgotten. We do everything to make life better for you. You all deserve to be happy," the chairman said.
